Kim O’Neill, a psychic and channeler for 22 years, cheerfully describes herself as “tragically unhip”. No crystals, no incense, no long flowing hair. She arrives at the Bodhi Tree bookstore on Melrose for a book signing dressed in a perfectly tailored suit sporting a briefcase like she’s promoting a Fortune 500 company rather than telling fortunes.
 Her latest book, “Bond with Your Baby before Birth: How to Communicate with Your Unborn Child” was conceived out of her own experience after her doctor told her the impossible probability of getting pregnant for the first time in her mid-forties.
She left crying and devastated, but then a small voice spoke to her, “Mommy, don’t worry, I am going to be born and I will be a boy.” Instead of despairing, she chose to trust her unborn baby’s soothing message and became pregnant at 44 years old with no fertility drugs. And yes - it was a boy.
“Bond with Your Baby” is full of other incredible stories of mothers (and dads) that honored their intuition and had life altering outcomes. After two different gynecologists recommended abortion due to the ultrasound showing the baby’s kidneys growing on the outside of its body, a tormented woman wrestled with the decision. Similar to Kim, she heard a small voice from the baby saying it would be born completely normal. Thankfully, she kept the baby and had a healthy daughter to the doctors’ amazement.
Kim’s passion is clear: to empower and inspire all women to access this incredible gift, even for non-expecting ladies. According to Kim, “Your baby chooses you as the perfect mother and mentor to fulfill their life’s purpose and they are eager to communicate with you.”
Sounds like you probably will have to dance around a fire naked while chanting some ancient pagan prayer on a full moon to get this to work? Nope, not so much.
Kim says, “It’s simple. Get a notebook and a pen and start asking questions like, ‘Baby, are you there?’ ‘How can I know you are my baby?’ ‘What do you want to be named?’ Start writing without editing what comes to mind.”
The book also includes a chapter on interpreting dreams, determining if they are fear-based or intuitive and explaining why pregnancy dreams are so vivid. Kim encourages keeping a dream journal as well as a channeling journal. “What an amazing gift that would be to give your child those journals that documented their communication when they are grown,” she excitedly exclaims.
